A Street Called Mercy is a song inspired by the sometimes gut-wrenchingly despairing, sometimes by the amazingly uplifting poetry of four Teen Challenge students. Poetry in which they bared their souls - their hopes, their failures, their dreams, and the pain and healing of the path they have walked and are walking. Hope's Creed thanks these four young men for the sharing of their heart, and hopes that somehow, 'A Street Called Mercy' can be an honest reflection of the words that rose to describe their lives' experience.
